As Covid numbers are decreasing, children are starting to get back to their normal way of life. Remember, life before Covid? Children enjoyed sleepovers, activities, camp, school, play dates and lots of fun head to head good times. As children stayed away from one another, so did viruses, the common cold, most sicknesses and yes head lice. Now that life is resuming, so are head lice.
Here is what we are seeing:
Bugs, eggs, itchy scalps, itchy necks, red-rashy irritations on the back of the neck and behind the ears….all fingers point to a resurgence of head lice. Head lice were off the radar for so long, they are catching families and schools by surprise. But now, it’s like they are shouting out for all to hear, “Hey we are back! Head lice are back and we are multiplying and spreading from head to head like we have since the beginning of time.”
